TITLE: Fundraising by Snail Mail: Direct Mailing
  CITY: Boston
  DATE: Sept 17th 2009
  Time: 2:15pm-3:30pm

There are two ways for a direct mailing campaign to end: with the in flux of funds and donors, or a horrible loss of respect and reputation. To avoid the latter, you will need a plan and a comprehensive understanding of the tools of the trade. This session will allow you to attract new donors and build unexpected relationships. This session is ideal for fundraisers with all levels of experience. We will cover topics like:

1.   How to understand the what’s and where’s of direct mail.
2.   How to incorporate your other fundraising plans with a new direct mailing.
3.   How to develop your donor base and increase the size of your gifts.
4.   How to attract major donors through direct mailings.
