Janie Bordner
Executive Director
Forrest Outreach Foundation
It has been my privilege to write proposals and raise funds for the operation of Bryan’s House and Operation Kindness.  I have also had the honor of supervising the implementation of agency programs and to oversee all facility operations.  The programs of Bryan’s House serve 1087 children, youth and families per year.  With the help of over 1100 volunteers, we were able to provide all of our services at no cost to our families.  Operation Kindness serves a different population but maintains at least 800 volunteers annually. This includes a staff of 42 employees.

I was instrumental in bringing about a diversified donor base to both Bryan’s House and Operation Kindness.  Through the addition of interactive events, a broader grant appeal and new underwriting, I have helped support both $2.1million programs through tough economic times.
