Denise White

Charged with the responsibility of driving strategies for funding and future growth for TMI-The Episcopal School of Texas, Denise White has embraced the passion of her Board of Governors and leadership givers and is well on the way to completion of the first phase of a capital campaign having raised over $14 million and ahead of the campaign goal. The next phase will begin early 2009 and will include the construction of three new buildings on the 85 acre campus to include a Learning Resource Center, Fine Arts building and a new classroom building. As the Director of Institutional Advancement, Denise leads a team of development professionals that are focused on Annual Fund, Special Events, Foundation Support, and Alumni Relations. TMI is a private secondary school affiliated the Episcopal Diocese of West Texas and was founded in 1893. This year, under Denise’s leadership, the institution will celebrate 115 years of educating leaders with a series of events and activities including a commemorative coffee table book. Prior to joining TMI in 2007, Denise was with the American Heart Association. Her development career with them started in 2004 as Corporate Market Director, Gala and Go Red for Women in San Antonio. She led her Regional Affiliate Account Team to secure HEB as San Antonio’s first City Goes Red Cause Sponsor along with Methodist Healthcare. One year later she was named to the position of Vice President, Corporate Relations for the South Central Affiliate of the American Heart Association, where she worked to align the corporate community with national cause campaigns for the AHA that have a significant impact in the local community. Since that time, HEB has grown in support of the American Heart Association to become the first statewide sponsor of Go Red for Women, with other companies joining forces such as Jiffy Lube International enabling the campaign to become a top healthcare cause in their local communities drawing support from community leaders, volunteers and local sponsors.
Prior to joining AHA, Denise spent over 20 years in the advertising/marketing industry, as President of Willming Reams, Inc. During that time, she produced promotional campaigns for corporations both in the United States and abroad including Ford Motor Company, Pepsico, Sears, Bancomex, Disney and Cinemark Theatres. In addition to her award-winning work, she has spent over 30 years in the volunteer sector serving on numerous local non-profit boards and has held leadership positions on three international boards.
Doyin Oluntona

Doyin Oluntona is the Co-founder of Uturn Concepts. Ms. Oluntona has worked across a variety of sectors including Non-profit Organizations, the Legal Environment , Corporate Organizations, and HR consulting.
Prior to joining Uturn Concepts, Doyin was the President/CEO of a Junior Achievement member nation., serving in the USA and Nigeria offices. She led the organization to win several global awards , including Innovation, Best Performance, Media and Quality Awards. In 2005 she was recognized with the "Fuqua Global Excellence Award" for positioning the firm as #1 globally).
An attorney passionate about developmental issues especially as it relates social responsibility initiatives. She has worked mostly with CEOʼs of multinational organizations such as Citibank, Schlumberger, ExxonMobil, CocaCola, Cadbury and Chevron. She makes presentations at global conferences such as the Global Summit of Women held in Korea in 2004. She was elected the African representative on the JA Worldwide Member Nation Council in 2005. She currently sits as a director on the boards of non-profit organizations in the United States.
Ms. Oluntona is a certified attorney and an alumni of the Stanford Business School, EPNL program,she also has an Advanced Management Degree (AMP), and an LLM degree in "International Business" from the American University, Washington College of Law. She is a member of the Association of Fundraising Professionals.

Mary Beth Harrington currently serves as Director of Membership and Resource Development for the Texas Association of Nonprofit Organizations (TANO). TANO was founded in 1993 as a statewide association to reflect and promote Texas’ growing independent sector in all its diversity. Our mission is to connect, strengthen, and support all who wish to be part of the Texas nonprofit community.
An enthusiastic speaker, Mary Beth is an advocate for the nonprofit sector having spoken about issues facing our nonprofit community at Visions Women’s Expo, Texas Library Association Convention, Big Brother and Big Sister Regional Convention, Meals on Wheels Regional Convention, Governors Volunteer Leadership Conference, Public Broadcasting National Convention and the International Conference on Volunteer Administration Conference. In addition, she has been a visiting professor at SMU and UNT as well as a contributor to Volunteer Management Review, the Journal of Volunteer Administration and selected as a LeadershipPlenty trainer for the Points of Light Foundation.
Previous to her experience in volunteer management, Mary Beth spent the first ten years of her career in the public relations and advertising field where she promoted both national and local clients – everything from a building implosion to cinnamon rolls. |
